I wrote this poem sometime in 2005. I corrected/finished it on August 25, 2007.
I am you.
I am me.
I am the perfect symmetry of a circle.
I am the radiance in the sunset,
sunrise, and I am alive.
I am the smile on your face
as you untie my dress and my heart falls with it.
I am impressed by how perfect this moment is.
I breathe you in.
I am a thousand words.
When you close your eyes,
I close mine.
My body weeps.
Run your fingers through my hair.
Look at me with those olive-colored eyes.
Don't act like you don't care.
Don't deem me unworthy.
None of this is in my hands, do I want this?
I'm weak to the touch.
I surrender.
