Poem 49

I see a bench made out of logs.
I see the trees that hide hovering sky.
My ears hear the trickling of a river.
Been here before. Can't explain why.

Don't really want to.
All I know is it’s a place of peace.
It’s a place both physical and within my mind.
Within my mind it’s where I go to cease.

Let all that I know. All that I feel.
Just let it all stand still.
Leaving it outside like an item that cannot be brought in.
I come here quite often.

When I need to come to a spiritual alignment.
When I need to re power what has been neglected.
Away from the concerns of pain.
Away from the restraints of a lack of comprehension.

Into the glow of a candle I can see this beautiful place.
Through the ebb and flow of the incense as well.
It’s there waiting for me.
Waiting for me to beckon it to take me back in.

I would exist only here if I could.
But that could never be made possible in a mind state.
Checking back in with what’s around me physically has to happen now and again.
Returning back to this place though is worth the wait.

It gives me peace.
Gives me regeneration.
Wonderful it is to go there and be free.
Having no limitations are definitely a positive thing.

Never to forget about what I will be able to,
It will stick with me like flesh to the bone.
When I need answers not achievable on the physical realm.
I'll come here where it’s just me and no static.

Coming here to get I need to receive.
Then when the time is right I return.
Returning to a state of consciousness.
Remembering to cherish everything that I have and to never burn.
