Tags – Simple, Complex, Few/None Simple Tags Lisa said, "Don't forget the family photos." Jason said, "I know. They're on the laptop." Lisa said, “Download them onto your thumb drive.” Jason said, “No. I’ll just take the laptop.” Lisa said, “No, you idiot! It’s too bulky. We don’t have room for that.” Jason said, “I’ll do what I want.” Lisa said, “Yeah, you always do.” Complex Tags Lisa said, "Don't forget the family photos." Jason replied, "I know. They're on the laptop." Lisa continued, “Download them onto your thumb drive.” Jason said emphatically, “No. I’ll just take the laptop.” Lisa was getting frustrated with her bother. “No, you idiot! It’s too bulky. We don’t have room for that.” “I’ll do what I want.” Jason stomped his foot. Lisa admitted defeat again, “Yeah, you always do.” Few or No Tags "Don't forget the family photos." "I know. They're on the laptop." “Download them onto your thumb drive.” “No. I’ll just take the laptop.” “No, you idiot! It’s too bulky. We don’t have room for that.” “I’ll do what I want.” “Yeah, you always do.” Discussion I think in general I like the simple format, but sometimes the complex can be used to add action to the conversation. |
