my twilight zone

i miss when i was younger
everything was black and white
no dawnings and no sunsets
there was only day and night

for now that i am older
everything has turned to grey
the lines have turned quite indistinct
it's hard to find my way

the boundaries are hard to see
my path is less defined
and i often wish that i still had
the past i left behind

there was no indecision
and the right was clear to see
i knew and thought much less than now
but more made sense to me
