I cannot help but weep, knowing masked demons hold their hands, smiling at me.
I awoke blinded to all I saw.
But now I can see.
Dented, tangled, putrid misery.
Selfish mothers, hated fathers.
Perverted friends who lust in secret.

I awoke alone in a vast crowd.
But now feel like I am being trampled.
People walk around me, pushing me aside.
Seeing in vanity what lays at their feet.
I cannot help but weep, knowing masked
demons hold their hands, smiling at me.

I hug myself trying to erase their lingering touch.
Struggle to stop crying; my tears cause me pain.
Wretched, wanted, terrible forbidden feelings.
I cannot bear the light any longer, cast in misguidance.
Slowly I become one within this crowd of humanity.

Such a sight before me.
Shadowed, mangled loving symphony.
Friends with knives stuck in their backs.
Tiny strings dangle from their hearts.
Led by smiling, puking, wretched angels.
Crawling on featherless broken wings.

Oh what have we become?
When we see with hollow souls?
Feel nothing with each touch we give.
We are led by each other, loved by no one.
Together in this vast blinded crowd.
