I wrote this for one of my poetry class projects.
Smooth is the path that paves the way
Gravel at times will surround your feet
Do not surrender to the day

All is new try not to delay
Else swiftly will move your defeat
Stay close to the path, do not stray

Visions aloft will rouse dismay
Boring, snoring they tend to repeat
And laughing their sound is to gay

While dancing my memories play
A slide show of life not concrete
I wallow in pity today

Yet I keep my feelings at bay
I'm trapped in a sheet of nothing
The path now bends like forming clay

Now I will sail smoothly someday
While keeping me all to discrete
Life lolls on... I am happy to say
The path is carved, it paved my way
