This is a mild adult nature story.

Rekindling?

The air is so warm, and the gazebo is lit with fragrant candles. As I look around the lake just 500 feet from the house, I thought, “Oh, this will be the night.”

I have waited for so long for him to love me again. We had been married for years, and he had lost his attraction for me. I just wanted his kiss of yesteryear.  The kiss that I used to melt into.  I wanted to have the looks that he now gives to the scantly dressed “tens” on the wrestling programs.  I was so excited, I would have my husband.

I knew that it was yet another hour until her would come home from work, but I had everything ready.  The candles were lit, the stars were bright, and I am laying on the inflatable mattress under the shelter of the gazebo.  I was dressed in a lovely black teddy, and I felt so comfortable between the satin sheets.  I thought that I would take a nap until I heard his car pull up.

I gave a moan.  His lips touch my neck.  “Oh, it had been so long since anything, but a collar, had touched my neck.”  I thought.  “Mmm,” I felt so good. His lips made their way over my cheeks.  I lay still until he gently turns me over to kiss my lips.  I had forgotten how good his lips were on mine.

His hands roaming over my body, and I seemed to melt under his touch.  I moaned as he found every neglected part of my flesh.  My back, my neck, my breasts, my thighs, and my lips were all in need of his touch. He seemed as hungry for the night as I was.

My life was getting better.  I was getting my husband and marriage back.  He ran his hands over my stomach as he roll over to be on top of me.  I know what was about to happen, and my body stiffened with anticipation. “Mmm, oh!”  I said as I opened my eyes.

Startled by the ringing of my phone.  It was a friend of mine.  I was having problems getting my Barings.  I was here in my three bedroom apartment.  I was still a divorced mother raising three children.

I brushed off the friend telling them that I was sleeping, and that  I would call them back tomorrow.  I staggered into the kitchen to get something to wet my hot mouth.  Then with tears in my eyes, I lay back down on the couch, and wonder if dream was what he and his new wife was experiencing as I lay here alone with the aching to be held.  I went to sleep with more loneliness than I had before I had before the dream.
