With Him

She never dreamt he'll come to meet her

But there he was right in front smiling at her

She never dreamt she'll go and meet him

But there she was close to him returning his smile



With shivering hands and trembling mind

She stood there with her lips held tight

She knew not what to speak

For he was looking at her through her eyes



The hawkers in the street broke the silence

And they went to a mall devoid of these vendors...

Staring each other they knew not what to speak;

The Ice-cream melted in the heat of her hands



The clock ticked by and the whole day passed,

Still both of them were together, watching the rain

(For it was raining then even in this hot summer)

By then it was time she said good bye



But then he whispered in her ears

‘See you tomorrow' which she heard amidst the big noise

Next day she again met him

With a lighter heart and a brightening smile



They walked together along the way they saw

With her hand held tightly in his

They talked a little in between the silence

And she was all ears to all his whispers



Together they ate and together they sat

But then it was time he left for his town

They said good bye and she left for her home

And he to the station to catch his train.
