A Shakesperean sonnet about a mistrusted lawyer.
The adjutant of law is earthly scum.
A crawling, creepy creature; he does lack
Less morals than the highwayman has sum,
With wretched hand on dagger for your back.

Said lawyer’s verse is filled with song to please,
Adjusted pay is sought in monthly time.
Each penny from your pocket sure to squeeze
While representing you for civil crime.

In truth, he speaks your case with eloquence,
An actor ‘pon a stage long seeking fame.
Perchance a bobble rends a heartly wrench;
to trust in he can stress dear souls to flame.

Yet, praised be good Saints, high in Heaven’s place,
My words reclaimed, for he has won my case.
