I’m home for the holidays
My family present, my heart restless
But I am home
I am home to celebrate
My life and theirs
With appreciation and love
But I am restless
I wish to return to my life
Where I find happiness
Where I find purpose
Where I choose to be
But I will always return
To the people that I love
To the people that hold a special place in my heart
Because I will never forget the people I grew up with
Who helped me become the man I am today
And who still cheer on my successes and remain proud of my deeds
To my mother, my father, my siblings, and friends I leave behind
