The beloved’s call to her soldier lover.
COME, MY LOVE

O my love, my handsome one!
When will you come to my arms?
I wait with my fading breath,
Come and give me your love alms.

Once you come, my handsome one!
My soldier, my knight- in- arms,
I will not then let you go,
I will hold you by my charms.

I have gone mad without you,
My eyes are sleepless and red.
My heart is but full of woes,
Fill it with your love instead.

Dhola ve ghar aa ja ve
Teriyan udikaan vich muk challe saah
Aaja, takdi de rog muka ja ve

Aavega jad soniyan mahiyaan
Mereya sajna dhol sipahiya
Rakh laangi tennu seene la ke
Tere baajon jind kamlaiyan

Jaandi nai akhiyaan choN laali
Dil dariya vi lagda hai khali
Khushiyaan vedhe tukhdiyaan naahi
Hove na jad dil da vaali.
