I thought we were cool,
I thought we were friends.
For 3 years I thought
  we would stick it to the ends.

We said we would baby sit each other's kids,
But I guess that the container that held our friendship
  lost its lid.

It's too late,
I didn't have time to get it straight.

In my mind you couldn't see the light,
When I tried to explain, you still couldn't get it right.
But I guess it was Too Late.
