THE GREATEST HEALING POWER
By: Phillip Martine Inwood
(Also known as Adam P. Rothstein)
Restlessly I wander,
Walking slowly as I go,
Aimlessly I ponder,
As I march forward to and fro.
There is so much senseless hate,
In a world that should be pure,
Malevolently scarred nations so irate,
For which there seems no simple cure.
Perhaps love is the solution,
Kindheartedness toward our others,
And the next logical conclusion,
Turn our enemies into brothers.
Maybe it is quite simple,
You need not walk a mile,
Just initiate those dimples,
A great beginning is a smile.
Show those pearlies to him that passes,
Always remember the Golden Rule,
As you are to yourself, treat the masses,
That, dear friend, is our coveted fuel.
We had it in us all this while,
Though this may be our darkest hour,
Tend the wounds with just one smile,
That is our greatest healing power.
