This is for my friend who sadly passed away in August last year.
I wrote this after finding the order of service from my friend's funeral. I'm not very good at poetry so please be brutally honest as I feel he deserves he best.

Why did you have to go and leave us who loved you so?
And go to a place so far away, somewhere we can't go.
Leaving only memories behind and that's no way near enough,
We all wish you were here with us, instead of just your stuff.
You've been gone such a short time, yet some think enough to grieve.
And we can't help but wonder why you had to up and leave.
So perhaps one day I'll see you again when my time is through.
And maybe some people will miss me just as much as I miss you.
