Unseen emotion as domestic violence starts occurs
Unseen ters, unseen cries
No one know how it feels inside.
Night after night,
Yelling, screaming...the abuse.
Once a love, now a fear
Runs through my veins.
My body has become a playground
For his demonic beings.
I was once whole,
Now all that remains
shattered pieces.
Shattered fragments of what once was,
A strong palace.
Invisible chains hold me here,
With no intention of release.
Night after night,
Of yelling and screaming.
Once again I'm left alone,
Alone to defend for myself.
When everything is said and done,
When there is no way back,
And no way forward
I'll just close my eyes
And try to dream,
Dream these tears away.
