LIFE CHAOS

Oh chaos of life
that bogs my brain
lengthy to-do list
drives me insane
call the doctor
meet the teacher
phoned my friend
just can't reach her
order flowers
read the mail
forgotten appointment!!!
my mind does fail
out the door
into my van
run around
and back again
don't forget now...
do the dishes
laundry's stacking
poor dear hubby
underwear's lacking
send the notes
and sympathy card
clean the dog crap
from the yard
take the garbage
to the curb
return the empties
feed the herd
paint and draw
write poetry
catch 5 minutes
of news on TV
send out email
plan scout meeting
send someone
a birthday greeting
let the dog in
let her out
cash a check
give money out
is this what life
is all about?
forgot again
to call the vet
do you have
a headache yet?
choir practice
eye appointment
my acne needs
some healing ointment
make the dinner
fowl or cow
cell phone
can you hear me now?
Time to stop
not one step more
about to drop
right to the floor
fill the bathtub
pour the bubbles
take me away
from life's little troubles
Lord I ask
now hear my plea
a moment of peace
for my sanity
sit in Your presence
with a cup of tea
clear my mind
and let me hear
Your calming words
that bring You near.
Ever thankful for
my glorious blessings,
Husband and children
and all of their messing.
Gather strength
replenish soul
for tomorrow's list
