You Have To Know

riding in the car was always a good time
even when the conversation stalled
after a minute or so
one shakes his head and says I don't know
and the other nods and agrees

we're nearing the end of the funnel of life
when we're young we pour so much into it
getting mixed around with many different things
clogged a bit now toward the bottom
it gets harder to move sometimes but you figure
once you reach that bottom tip
you're free
