Oblivious, unaware
Those secrets, these lies

He talks, She replies
Whispers of love
Echoing through the night
Forever, Loyalty
Promises, Promises and more promises
All the while, unaware, Oblivious
These Lies, Those secrets

A bet, between friends
Fun, A mere joke
Alas, a changed reality, yet
Determination to win
A war, a heart, some money
Lies swirling with promises
A war still being waged

He looks in her eyes
She sees
Salvation, forever, love, peace
Her heart clenches, those secrets
A mere mistake, or was it?

A doctor, a friend
Violence, betrayal, hurt
Some money, a lifetime of fortune
A death, a burial, some grief
Current love related to past hurt
What to do?
A war, a heart, some money

Yet, oblivious to all
Unaware of them
Those secrets, these lies
Love, more promises, more Joy
A thought, to tell or not to tell
A decision, to reveal or not
What to do, what to choose
Money or love?
