All of my poems are based on true experiences, this one is no exception. |
Running hiding Frightened by your eyes I can look no longer, Your face is so binding. I look into your eyes, A big mistake Through my stomach, butterflies flutter My happiness can't be faked Running, chasing A dream never meant to be fulfilled Looking towards you to brace me Turn and face me please! I fall down crying, I can't keep trying to please you! My thoughts run dry, I've given up! Seeing the look on your face, A look of disgust Makes my heart race, You are angry I can tell, But it's your fault! You caused this! As you stare at me crying, I see a smile creep across your lips. Your wild laughter silences me, My eyes widden with desbelief. I stand and turn to run, My legs fail me and I fall yet again. I catch the gleam in your eyes, I try to flee again, You steal a rough kiss, Throwing me then to the ground again. I try to scream It catches in my throat, You can't risk someone hearing, You think- I have to shut her up! I feel the blow, I can taste the blood! Instinct takes over, As I curl into a ball. Blow upon blow, Each one getting stronger, I look up with pleading eyes, One more blow and you start to cry. The fifth time it's happened, Every time seems worse! You seem to know I'll take you back. Even though I know it will happen again! |
