The Misadventures of an Author's Mind

She had no idea where she was going,
She was lost, she was rowing,
Now being beaten with disgrace.

Wandering alone now,
She didn't even know how,
She had gotten to this wretched place.

Scenes stretch out before her,
Some with romance, others horror,
Some on Earth, some in space.

Around in circles swirl,
Thoughts and stories whirl,
At a ready, rapid pace.

All thoughts and inspirations,
For another day's creations,
Not for this time and place.

Many pictures whiz by,
Some down low, most up high,
Finally she grasps one with much grace.

The perfect one for now,
She knew so quickly...how?
All stories have a plot; she knew this one's face.
