Poem about living in my group home and having thoughts about running away from it all
Running Thoughts

These tears are slowly fading,
The last few drops brush down my skin.
I now know that I won’t see you again.

I try my hardest just to forget,
But I can’t,
And its killing me ever so slowly.

Sometimes I remember,
All the bad times that we had,
And I remember why I’m living this way,
In a group home,
So lonely,
And afraid of what I don’t have.

It’s hard to get up on some days,
When the pain is too much to bear,
When all I do, is look up at the sky and stare.

I wonder what I did wrong,
I wonder why it hurts so bad,
And will the life I had
Ever be the life I want to have.
