A ghazal. Rhyme words: nice, ice, spice, vice, dice, price. Refrain—is gone.
FROM LIFE ALL THAT’S NICE IS GONE: a ghazal

From life all that’s nice is gone.
From mountains the ice is gone.

Thanks to doctors’ prescription,
From my food all spice is gone.

I can’t afford a new car,
Upward now the price is gone.

Let’s not abandon the game
Even if the dice is gone.

Now that I am an old man,
Khalish all my vice is gone.
