the land of mist

twisted and misted
the land before me
my path becomes obvious
yet i struggle to move forward

familiar and not
bearings are impossible to find

slowly moving forward
the mist comes in closer
surrounding
suffocating
disorienting

ahead
object of desire evident

moving closer
covered by mist
obstacles raise to confront

slowly the world revolves
view becomes distorted

object of desire
becomes fear and hate
loathsome behind
unsure ahead

twisting and turning
lost in the dizzying landscape

sudden breath
sudden start
awaken
landscape of unconsciousness

much joy
many tears

dream
or nightmare
