Canvas Of My Heart

Poetry is much like painting,
A poet's work is never done.
Strokes and words keep rearranging,
Fresh beginnings that have begun.

Beauty comes in many colors.
Hues splashed across my inspired heart.
With each brilliant shade that glimmers,
Life in Michelangelo's art.

Passion brings rise to new feelings,
Feelings of love that seem to grow.
The colors begin revealing,
Beautiful words begin to flow.

Come paint a sensual love picture,
Paint on the canvas of my heart.
Every loving stroke is brighter,
As love grows from the very start.

Tenderness guides each faithful stroke,
As love brings life to every word.
Magnificence starts to uncloak,
The sweetest poem ever heard.

A love story timelessly plays,
Upon the canvas of my heart.
Beauty in a portrait conveys,
Devotion never to impart.

Words spoken are incandescent,
Paintings of glorious splendor.
Penned with love that is so vibrant,
On my heart's canvas with color.

Paint this love song never ending.
Write the words of love that are new.
Colors that are always blending,
Words tell of love forever true.
