An encounter with a force of Nature
she stirs me
her movement encircles me
whirring and purring
as she soars higher
and higher above me
and then looks down
smiling
deceptively

she pushes herself against me
taunting me with her power
and then races to embrace
another
slapping at their coats
tipping their hats
and playing with their hair
so full of mischief

she whistles in my ears
and promenades about
to a rhythm of her own creation
dancing
she gathers momentum
as if a young gypsy maiden
prancing about
shaking her tambourine of sounds
she drones gloriously
and laughs at my ineptness
as I press forward
against her flurries

then, suddenly,
she pirouettes and drifts,
unexpectedly, to a soft hum
gifting me with a change of pace
befitting her cyclic moods as
once again she teases
me
more gently now

she sweeps against my cheeks,
a soft whisper of icy hot kisses,
as she spins and loops
she loves to tango
and does so with me briefly
creating dance steps that pushes
me off balance
temporarily

and then
abruptly
she swivels upward
and pilots off to another place
with motives all her own
she leaves
laughing in bursts of glee
I feel her shift...
as off she goes
to rekindle her dance
all over again
with someone new
