My ABC in Poetry! By Chrysta-Lou Rodriguez A is for Apple, red and sweet as can be. B is for Ball, won’t you come play with me? C is for Cat, playing with her string. D is for Dog, in grass he’s a-rolling. E is for Egg, a good breakfast toady. F is for fish, in the ocean they play. G is for Goat, chewing his green grass. H is for house, I’m home at last. I is for ink, I use it with paper to write. J is for Jug, for juice it’s just alright. K is for Kite, to fly in the air. L is for Lamp, when the sun’s no longer here. M is for Mouse, he likes bread and cheese. N is for Night, leave the lights on please. O is for Orange, so round and sweet. P is for Purse, to keep my things neat. Q is for Quiet, not a sound I can hear. R is for Road, where cars drive, Beware! S is for Sunshine, it’s a beautiful, dry day. T is for Turtle, in her shell she will stay. U is for Umbrella, when it’s raining out. V is for Vase, holds my flowers without a doubt. W is for Water, drink some every day. X is for X-ray, how I look inside this way.
