A Little Rain Must Fall

Into our lives, a little rain must fall…
The clouds will roll in dark and heavy
Thunder will deafen our ears and minds
Lightning will blind our eyes and ignite fear
But there is a reason that the rain must fall.

Into our lives, a little rain must fall because…
Without the clouds we would know no sunshine
Without the thunder we would not listen for His Word
Without lightning, we would never seek Him
So to help us know, to help us grow, the rain must fall.

Into our lives, a little rain must fall so that…
We may blossom under His everlasting light
And fill our minds and souls with His word
And to share in His glorious being through our journeys
For He walks with us as the rain surely falls.

So into our lives, a little rain must fall because…
It is through these times that we reach out
To hold each other and embrace His gifts
Knowing that we are blessed to weather these storms
Because we are never alone when the rain must fall.
