Dreams

In his dreams
she is there
loving and beautiful
as it was long ago

When he wakes
she is gone
the anger sets in
the hatred begins

when he dreams
she is faithful
she is loving
she is his

but when he wakes
reality is there
she is hateful
she is vengeful
he is dead

he doesn't know why
he doesn't understand
she will never be his
no matter how hard he tries

so on his life goes
without her
stuck in a world
no love no hope
noone there.
