My Infuriating Peace

The black wave comes rolling in
Silent as a leaf on the breeze
The monster builds momentum
There is no escape
You can not run, you can not hide
The beast is closing in
I turn to face it head on
Sizing up my foe
I realize this is a battle I can not win
Yet I stand my ground
Pure evil stands before me
Towering above me
As I look up
I see my opportunity
Not only can I face my fears
Now I know I can beat them
As we battle across time
From one battle ground to the next
Two souls locked into eternal combat
It seeking after my life and soul
While I try to retain my being
The red mist envelope me
The pain is one with me now
Like hot lance tips
Piercing his soul
The damage I inflict
Is returned to me ten fold
One chance, just one chance
My victory is now in site
I take my shot
Strike, Strike, Strike
I attack with all the fury within
My enemy stumbles
Victory is mine
The demon vanquished
Returned to his dungeon
As I lay on the field of battle
Bleeding out
Calling out
Sleep over takes me
As I drift into eternal sleep
The light envelopes me
It cures my soul
I rise once more
To walk the earth
