In 150-200 words, write a story about one of the following topics. In your story, use only the active voice. Try to use good strong active verbs.

Barbeque Flu

         The smell of steaks on the grill wafts across the lawn from the my neighbor's backyard.  Someone else stayed home with barbeque flu.  I told my boss others might catch what I had.  The calendar announced spring a month ago, but here in New England the season withheld its pleasures and threw more snow than showers this April.  Today though, I awoke to bright skies and temperatures promising to climb past eighty degrees, and I knew this day would reward me for all the winter days I had fought through my colds and flu.  My boss may not believe me, but I can't work in this condition.  Spring fever pulses in my blood, propane threatens to explode if not released from its tank, and these chicken legs beg to dance over the fire while listening to Jimmy Buffett.

         Fortunately, I found everything I need for my cure at the store.  This twenty-four hour bug will pass by tomorrow.  For now, I ignite the grill, pass a margarita to my neighbor, and succumb to the pleasures of spring that has finally sprung.
