When I First Met You
I had to touch you
as to make sure that you were real
and not a figment of my imagination
the sight of you left me awed and breathless
like a hand-wrapped present sent straight from heaven
you came to me and I stood waiting to unwrap you
I was left speechless,
as my thoughts were frozen inside my head
It was then that I knew
that I wanted more than just a part of you
I wanted you and I to be together
I knew right then that you had the key to my heart
and I hoped that you would give me the key to yours
