A thought on friendship between 2 women
I have learned that being a friend doesn't mean that we have to agree, but it
does mean that we have to support eachother and respect our choices.
And that age does not matter with friends...  diversity is sweet.
And that the way in which we are raised does not matter, as long as we (here's
that word again) RESPECT eachother's journey.
I have learned that when my friend is hurting, so am I.
When her heart breaks, I find tears in my eyes.
I have also learned that being a good listener is the best quality in a friend right
next to being a good "questioner."
My friend is my family by choice, not by birth... the family that I make for myself
in this place.
If I do not share myself with my friend she will not want to share herself with
me... I have to be fallible to make her comfortable.
I want my friend to demand respect for herself and make this world make room for
her.

I want my friend to know that I love her individual contribution to my life.  She
adds to my self worth and only ask that I "keep in touch."
I love the way I laugh with my friend and the way we loose the time, when we have
the time to loose.

What I have learned about being a friend, I have learned from you Trace.
Thanks for your contribution.  I won't let it go to waste.  Thanks for your
patience with my immaturity and for your ear and for your questions.  Your questions make me examine and realize myself. I am a better friend to my other friends because of what I have learned from you.
