"[Y]ou have willingly given of it so, ...without even a second thought, or sigh." |
Dear Honorable US Senator Dianne Feinstein, Thank you for the gift of your time. Very Respectfully, bernard young The Gift I appreciate the value of your gift to me, as such received. To label it is to perhaps, mistakenly dismiss, deceive. Unlike an unreceptive recipient, it may be misperceived. Your time shared with me is a precious one indeed. It takes willingness to give a gift, speaks of a giver’s self. For a thankless recipient may refuse it as gratuitous help. A giver risks rejection of a gift, so thoughtfully sponsored Bear the pain from a recipient, dismissing it as offered. Your time generously shared with me, is an endowment. Time is infinitely finite, like diamonds; assets of refinement. You have willingly given of it so, to me, I know not why. Without securing it, unshared; nor a second thought, sigh. This unmistakable gift is one of enduring hope and care. The richest gems in all the world, gold could not compare. The treasure I received came directly from your heart; The compassionate sentiments at once did they impart. I wish to say, utter, “thank you” for I’m truly undeserving. Words fail to convey my gratitude for the gift I’m receiving. For if somehow, perchance the gift never came to pass I would never know, appreciate the precious gift, at last. |
