The brain receiving waves from outside may be a scientific reality |
BRAIN WAVES--award winner Some waves are acoustic, some Electromagnetic; Some are engineered and some Are just automatic. But the waves emanating From brain, what type are they? Do they arise from within, Or come from far away? If the waves in our prayers Can reach Him instantly, Why can’t His, in form of waves Come to us directly? Scientists may scoff at it, but What is telepathy? I think it is through brain waves That we have empathy. • Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format • Initially posted as entry 492548 in the book "SCIENCE, MEDICAL, LAW, HUMOR, CHILDREN" , SCIENCE, MEDICAL, LAW, HUMOR, CHILDREN. Posted as the present item on 31 March 2007 It is known in medical science that brain waves, such as alpha, beta and theta type, are produced in brain and these are now-a-days routinely recorded as an EEG, electroencephalogram. Man and monkey have been experimentally made to execute, after training, mechanical tasks simply through “thought waves”. It could be argued as a valid concept that if brain can transmit waves, it can, too, receive them from outside, and even respond to them. Next few decades may unravel that possibility. • Awarded Honourable Mention award in round 36 of " Lexi's Poetry Challenge” Contest, "Lexi's Poetry Challenge" M C Gupta, MD 5 March 2007 |
