Realization

At first I thought I’d grown, but now I realize
         I am much less than I ever was
Now just a mere reflection
         Of a living, breathing soul
My skin as sharp as pin pricks,
         There’s nothing there at all
And it’s too late
         But now I realize

That I really know nothing at all
