In love and death.
The evening light scarcely reaches across the room. Its last rays splashing desperately on two almost-motionless bodies, tangled within the sheets.

The sensation – standing on that dizzy edge, just before the climax. My heavy breathing upon his neck; my nails digging and scratching at his upper arms and back.

His limbs entwined with mine. I can feel his warm body pressing down on me. He seems to be gasping for air. And all I can think at the moment is: This is wrong. This is unbelievably wrong. What if they find out?

I remember; He told me he loved me. He didn’t care that I was the son of his father’s boss. Today was proof of his love. His passion.

But...

No one can know what had happened today, or any other days that involved him and me – together. No one will ever know my fear, what I can’t deal...

The climatic end.

His body falls off me.
The breathing stops.
Crimson sheets.
They were once ashen-grey.

I roll over, my eyes wide.
