Fearing a lonely weekend thinking only of a lost love.
The long lonely weekend looms just ahead
I am supposed to be focused, to work diligently
On the surface all looks typical but just below
You are there haunting me, please let go
Not a ghost but a spirit, your spirit inhabits my soul
Uninvited yet passionately attacking my needs
All my needs, physical, mental, spiritual, sexual
I can’t let you go no matter what the stakes, why
I’ve tried, I’ve tried, and again I have tried

I want to invite you back into my world if only for a few hours
To devour, to enslave, to satiate one unto the other
Intertwined as one, exploring, captivating, enchanting
To hear you breathe intermittently, breathless from want
Your quiet moans cause explosions all through
Your touch so compassionate yet so fulfilling, aching, throbbing
Possess my essence and I am yours, forever
To dream this is excruciating but necessary, it will never be
I am afraid and you are weak, never to be free
