Ghostwriter

I noticed there is a demand for ghostwriters, and I would like to offer my services.

I am a ghostwriter.  No, I don’t provide material for celebrities or nonwriters;  I am simply a ghost that has taken an interest in writing.

I am not a writer that has returned from the dead; that is just too creepy. I have always been a ghost.  It’s as simple as that; no reincarnation, no past lives, nothing spooky or weird. I was born a ghost, and I shall die a ghost. 

There is however, much debate among the ghost population about our afterlife.  Some of our finest thinkers have proposed that when we die, we become – human?  While an interesting theory, it just hasn’t taken hold. It seems so, so, -- bizarre.  Of course, our time span is well over one million earth years, so I rarely think of human life as a form of immortality.  After all, it would be reverse-evolution, which is a disturbing thought for us ghosts.

I will say there is some difficulty using the keyboard.  I have to use all my electromagnetic power just to tap the keys.  No matter. 

Of course, I realize you probably have many questions for me, like can I walk through walls and doors?  What does a ghost look like?  Do I appear human? 

First, I don’t look anything like that cartoon character Casper.  I am not round and cute.  Our luminosity defines beauty.  Although I do have a wonderful glow, there are many ghosts more radiant than a thousand suns. But, I’m happy with the intensity of my light; streaked in pastels, it shimmers as I move.

And about that walking through doors and walls?  Not a problem.

When I told my fellow ghosts about the communication with humans, they laughed.  Their plasmic smiles stretched wide.  But when I showed them the term “ghostwriter”  they quickly realized perhaps there is something to it.  After all, we have never seen these two words put together in such a manner.  This could be a most enterprising endeavor for the ghost community.  Ghosts?  Writers?  Sounds like a match to me!

What services can I provide?  For starters, I could introduce your readers to the lives of our most famous ghosts.  I can describe projects within the intergalactic realm, as well as the latest accomplishments on the “edge” territories.  Oh, the legends!  These are REAL stories.

Of course, I can make use of my vibratory resonance on the earthly plane as well; although I must admit it is a bit dull for ghosts. 

We are invisible to the human eye.  Therefore, all our contracts or agreements must be done through the internet.  Although we find your technology primitive, it does provide a means to communicate through your space-time continuum.
