My life of grace...
I.
What is this crashing new beauty?
Our elders held strong in worse moments,
yet we ( I ) fall short.
Caught in a momentary fervor, an endless shift occurs.
But nothing steady...
O no, nothing steady...
Ever-Hearing One, change me...

II.

I have thrown dirt skyward so many times that I am covered in it.
What goes up and all that...
Well, here I am in my aboveground grave.
Let's all stare at the Buried Man.
Do I deserve anything more?
Ever-Seeing One, mold me...

III.

O, how lovely those three trees look in the distance.
Like beacons of pure light...
No, not trees...
Crosses...
That man has done nothing!
Leave Him!
"Rabbi, what has happened?
Who has put you here?"
As the blood poured and pooled at my feet,
He smiled.
"You, son."
Ever-Living One, search me...

IV.

In the Twinkling...
Here I am, prostrate before Grace.
My scarred life played out in true wretched symphonic fashion
and yet...
And yet, here I am.
O merciful Father!
How might is Your very breath!
How could I ever deserve to dwell in Your courts?
I don't...
I dont' deserve this...
Thank you...
Thank...
You...
You...
Ever-Saving One, save me...

V.

How sweet the sound...
