There's a price we all most pay.
She calls the wind, summons the seas,
                          hurling and crashing they soar.
The thunder replies,  echoes her cries
                          lighting her way, it roars.
                      Her mountains shake and tremble,
fueled by fire, her anger grows.
                      Abused by you, her lover,
                          her seasons change their flow.
Her trees bend, snap and groan,
                          grassy fields bow down low.
Caught in the throngs of death,
                          your betrayal all she knows.
She quickly covers up her wounds,
that you laid bare for all to see.
She spits your poison back at you,
and brings you to your knees.
Did she not try to love you,
                          share all her mysteries?
Now she'll cast you off, abandon you,
and give you to the sea.
