A brief poem about winter. A sequal to Rachmaninoff No. 1.
Rachmaninoff No. 2

Grey, steely sunlight
Pouring down a faded bath
Upon a great naked swath of
Unending, hardened winter

Icy cracks begin to breathe
A long held in sounding.
Loft among the branches frozen
Grows a budded proclamation.

Frozen shackles broken,
Life swaddled in incubation
Swiftly breaking clouds reveal
A land’s new day, a life regrowing.
