Looking inside the poem
I sat here a long time thinking...

                                                                before I put these words on these lines.

These are my words... my thoughts... my emotions... my creativity    my...    self...

                                        not                                      yours

            To which you hold your red pen of criticism ready.
                                                    Swooping to the attack with well meaning intent.
