Why have you all foresaken me?
Feelings of Solitude

Ignore the fact that I am here
Ignore that you know me
For I am here to cleanse your soul
And give eternity

I love all, and all love me
But no one knows my name
I lived for you and died for you
But still you live in shame

Read the book and you shall see
Where you fit into life
Cause when you do not know yourself
You cut me like a knife

I made you to, be just like me
To learn and understand
But read you won’t, and learn you won’t
You’re really not so grand

I have a love for you that’s huge
But you ignore me so
You use my name in vane so much
I can’t ignore you though

My job is to watch over you
To cast my doubts aside
But you make it so damn hard
You just will not abide

The rules that were set for you
In stone so long ago
You read them and you study them
And then ignore them so

When I come back, you’ll throw me out
Your greet will not be mine
You’ll call the law if I won’t leave
And say I’ve lost my mind

I love you all, but you don’t know
To whom you pray each day
You go to church each weekend
But refuse to live my way

So why not just forget me
Just say you’ve never heard
Of the one who died for you?
Because I’m so absurd

And read the book that tells the truth
Was written by your kin
The book I speak of you know well
T’was writ by Charles Darwin.

Its clear now that my story
Is nothing but a lie
Ole Charlie, man, he got it right
And now Dad's got to die

He only lived, just because
Mankind they did believe
But now he’s just a rumor
Its time for him to leave

So perhaps we’ll see you
down the road a ways
You’ll easily distinguish us
Who survived the end of days

I think this is Iambic Pentameter, but I am not sure. Can anyone tell me for sure?
