a lonely woman dreaming of love
Scared, confused, excited and in-love. What did this new feeling mean? While embraced in my lover's arms, I felt all of these feelings. So many questions filled my head : Is this forever? Is it love? What's my fate after to night? Is he the one?

Its the same dream I have every night. In my bed alone, I say a quick prayer and sinfully give into my nocturnal fantasies. I can hear his voice; his touch sends incredible sensations all over my anxious body. He has no face nor a name, but it doesn't matter. He's the man of my dreams! (Yeah, literally!)

This paticular night seemed more real than the other nights; I nearly lost touch with reality. I began to see my lover's face and his voice was very familiar. I felt a presence there beside me which was so much more stronger than any of the past dreams I've had. My heart dropped when I looked at my lover's face. I knew who he was. "Could it be him, the one I've been waiting for?" I often have to remind myself that it was just a dream. Something this good could never be reality.

In my fantasy, I remember making love to this man. It was not just physical pleasure; It was emotional relief for my heart. However, I felt embarassed and ashamed because I knew it was just a dream. Nothing more.

I didn't always dream of lovemaking. There were nights that I would see myself sharing a lifetime of love and devotion with this strange earth angel. I saw children, a home, and a overall new and exciting life. I shared all of these experiences with this familiar stranger.

I grew old with my dream lover. We shared many anniversaries, birthdays, church services and everything under the sun with this man. There were also the arguments, disagreements, and even tough situations that made our love strong. My man and I became inseparable.

Then, my dream lover passes away. All I have left are all those memories...

I could feel the tears fall down my face.

My alarm goes off, interupting my thoughts. Reluctantly, I open my eyes. Another day of my life begins.

I sit up in my bed, still exhausted from last night. A cool breeze from my bedroom window hits my naked body.

"Wha-," Oh, Lord Please forgive me! Did I get too deep into my dreams? I began to shiver, but it wasn't from the cold air. He's snoring was soft, like the deep purr of a lion. He was lying next to me sleeping peacefully.

Who was this man? Could it be that last night was real?-(to be continued
