A weird story with a lot of meaning. Dig as deep as you can into it and have fun.
I wash my hands at the sink and looked into the mirror for the hell of it. I saw my own eyes staring back at me. Big surprise. Not. Sarcasim. Then it hits me in the middle of my cynicalness that we don't want any hypocrites, but no matter how hard we try they are always there. The water continues to run all over my hands like blood, had I slit an artery open, but I didn't, it was just water and as I watched my eyes dialate I realized that I was the culprit. So many times we say that it's the hypocrites that make us look bad, but now as I feel the water on my hands and I see into my own eyes I say that if we want to see the real hypocrites we should look into a mirror. My reflection is the problem. Myself. It is the cancer within us that makes us who we are not the shadows hiding in the shadows.
I stare at the water, it turns black now and stains my hands. My eyes grow wide I can hear my heart beat in my ears, as I watch the stain travel up my arm and spread to the rest of my body. I try to scream for help but the black stain fills my mouth with black liquid so I can't breath nevermind speak. I struggle, gag, there is nothing left. That is not true says some voice inside my head, I remembered when in death the synapses in the brain fire randomly I AM not a synapse, but rather the truth I fall on my knees drowning in a pool of black liquid the very essence of myself. Cut through the darkness The voice is crazy but something inside me tells me that the voice is very logical, fuck it nothing matters now. Coincidentally there was a knife on the counter near by. I drug myself over to it and grabbed for the knife, but was met with opposition. The blackness did not like the knife, the darkness feared it, wanted it dead. I watched in horror as the blackness split open my skin for me, and tried to fill in my eyes. Everything was getting dark I was almost blind but I could still see the knife, so with all my strength I jumped; it was something like jumping into zero gravity, you expect to come down but you don't, likewise I reached for the knife but it didn't seem to get any closer. Until that is the knife glowed with a golden luster and fell towards me. I was now on the floor struggling with by black stained self, I could barely see the knife glowing like some sort of star, I clawed my way to it. I grabbed it and with all my might forced the blade into my heart. Immediately light poured out of the wound. I could hear the black stain shriek with fury and wanting vegence. The light was pouring out much to fast and it was much to bright and the room filled with it.
I then found myself on the floor, awaking as if from a dream. I got up and dried my hands. The world was born anew. I glanced in the mirror to look into my eyes again and behind the natural color, was a tint of golden light.
