Ravac Lon and the Posotronic Brain

The sun glinted through the hole that led to "old Newyork". Old Newyork was actually our current new york but it collapsed into the earth when a bomb underneath the city went off causing it to sink. As you might of guessed this takes place in the future 1019 years into the future to be exact.
"Wow this is amazing!" thought Ravac an intrepid archeologist from the future
"Most of the buildings are still intact." He thought again but unkown to alot of historians the bomb wasnt ment to destroy a city at all it, technically hte bomb had done exactly what it was supposed to do. It was ment to be sent to the middle east and explode some underground pockets of oil causing the middle east economy to collapse (at this point oil wasnt even used for transportation ant more.) But an inside man set some new cordinates to New York and the rest is history.
