My Solace

I can't see
my eyes blinded by the dark.
I wish you could save me
but hope died when the lights went out.

I'm still holding on
every second feeling like the last
and every word they've ever said
won't stop ringing in my head.

You couldn't save me
even if you tried to,
when everything you've said
has left me stranded.

There is solace in death
when I start to lose my grip
at least the struggling will be over
and my heart will die on the rocks below.
