A song written to help with speech therapy
History: This song was written to possibly be used in co-treatment with a speech/language pathologist working with a client to improve pronunciation of the "r" sound. It doesn't rhyme, but the idea is to have fun with the words, instead of just repeating them over and over.

ROBBIE ROY ROBERTSON'S REALLY WEIRD RELATIVES

Robbie Roy Robertson has really weird relatives
And he swears he ignores their strange behavior.

Mother foxtrots with her cart all around the supermarket
Then searches for where she parked her car.
Father solders scraps of iron into strange bird sculptures
And runs marathons in rodeo roping gear.

Grandpa mutters under his breath verses of Shakespeare and Thoreau
While driving around in a motor boat on tires.
Grandma wears a purple beret on her travels around the world
And pretends to be the princess of Romania.

Sister wears a sparkling red dress dripping with rhinestones and fringe
And trains horses in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Brother throws temper tantrums for hamburgers with mustard
And plays air guitar while dreaming in his dorm.

Robbie Roy Robertson has really weird relatives
And he swears he ignores their strange behavior.
