Shadows

Why is it everytime I hear someone yell I flinch and get carried back to my childhood? When I see longneck Budweiser bottles I hear yelling and feel the pain and see the bruises all over again. Every September 19th seems to pass without me remembering the days activities, what I said, felt, any interactions with people. The shadows are there during waketime and while I sleep. its been 7 years since you died and I've kept your ashes in the closet. If I get rid of them will that throw some light on those shadows? I hope your soul is at rest Dad because mine isnt.
