Beating to Remember

I felt your hand upon me,
I feel the bruise on my face,
no one but you around me,
and no way to leave this place.

You hit me once
and you hit me again,
thats how it was
way back then.

You left me bruised,
I hit you back,
you did't like that,
and thats a fact.

You pinned me down,
and beat me there,
you left me once more,
with not a single care.

My body hurt
filled with pain,
My soul was crying
with feelings of disdain.

My wounds have healed,
but my soul has not,
I'll always remember,
........I have never forgot!
